We are recruiting a Financial Controller

Ekeri is looking to strengthen its team with a Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

Ekeri’s Financial Controller is responsible for the company’s accounting, reporting and internal controls. As Financial Controller, you lead the staff in your department and are responsible for creating good work conditions for them.  In consultation with the company’s CFO, you will be responsible for the finance department’s strategies and objectives, as well as the professional development of the department’s staff.

In your work, you will use Visma.net and Kasperi software for business management and resource planning and Lean for process efficiency.

Your duties will include

• preparing monthly and annual statements for the Ekeri group on schedule
• ensuring that the finance department adheres to established deadlines
• ensuring that all financial information is accurate and complies with current accounting standards and regulations
• developing financial reporting and report to the CFO
• cooperate with subsidiaries on financial matters
• ensuring that the responsibilities of finance department staff are adhered to and update job descriptions for department employees
• ensuring that the finance department’s resources are appropriate and sufficient
• taking responsibility for the well-being of the finance staff by organising weekly meetings, performance reviews, etc.

We are looking for people with an appropriate financial education and several years of experience in accounting. Knowledge of group accounting is considered an advantage.

In addition, we would like you to have

• good leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
• a strategic, thorough, and solution-oriented working approach
• a good knowledge of Swedish and Finnish
