Business Strategies Steering Towards a Green Future

21.3.2024

As part of the Hartman Transport Group, Hartman Expeditie is a family company specialized in temperature-controlled transport of vegetables, fruit, fresh groceries, and floriculture to Scandinavia with a focus on Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

In the beginning of 2020, Dutch transport companies Hartman Expeditie B.V. and Internationaal Transport J.P. Vis & Zn. B.V. merged to form Green Label Logistics within the Hartman Logistics Group. Green Label Logistics specializes in temperature-controlled LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments from the Netherlands and Belgium to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and customized transports from Scandinavia to the Benelux and Germany.

With a modern fleet of 200 trucks and strategic warehouse locations in Waddinxveen and Nieuw Amsterdam and Helsingborg, they ensure reliable and efficient deliveries.

Green Label Logistics – the company’s ambition towards a climate-neutral transport solution

Green Label Logistics strives to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain and has a vision of realizing a completely climate-neutral solution, in line with global climate targets and customer requirements.

By combining efficient logistics with an environmental focus, Green Label Logistics positions itself as a key player that takes responsibility for a sustainable future in the transport sector.

As a pioneer in sustainable transport, the company is reducing CO2 emissions with innovative solutions such as non-fossil fuel, HVO100, in its trucks and investing in LNG-powered vehicles, a clean fuel made from 100% recycled waste products.  These steps mark significant progress towards a more sustainable future and bring significant environmental benefits.

Other concrete examples of how they integrate sustainability into every aspect of their business for a responsible and environmentally friendly future include their investment in Nieuw-Amsterdam, where they invested in a new

cross-dock facility. On a 5 acres large and secured yard, a new facility of 5500m2 was built according to the latest standards with 37 loading docks.

Ekeri and Hartman Transport Group: Joint Strength for Sustainable Transport

Hartman Expeditie already has several side opening Ekeri FNA trailers with towing coupling. The FNA ATP classification ensures that the cargo maintains the right temperature.

The latest investment is four Sweden-adapted Ekeri HCT (high-capacity transport) FNA trailers with delivery in the summer of 2024. The team from Hartman Expeditie visited Ekeri’s production facility in Kållby, Finland.

– Ekeri’s transport solutions go hand in hand with our sustainability and environmental focus. The products are made to serve their purpose and sustainably streamline operations, says Ronald Hartman CEO of Hartman Expeditie B.V.

This partnership confirms that Ekeri’s focus on environmental awareness not only matches the Hartman Group’s vision but also strengthens their shared commitment to a sustainable transport future.

Both companies believe in a strong message that it takes concrete action and responsibility to drive positive change in the industry and a positive impact on the environment and society.

Together with Ekeri’s retailer Elenbaas, Hartman Expeditie from The Netherlands, visited the Ekeri production unit in Kållby, Finland.
